So almost 10 years ago I purchased my first mp3 player. An RCA Lyra that came with a 16 mb compact flash card. I know enough space to store 3-4 songs. It worked at the time tho. I remember copping and extra 32 mb card for $50... Damn those prices. Flash forward to 2004 when I got my Aiptek digi cam. A 256 mb SD card cost me $75, yeah prices were a little better but still WTF?? A year later I get a PSP and a memory stick duo 256 mb for $50. At the time $50 was a steal and when the 512 mb dropped to that price I got that. I was pissed off when the 1 gb dropped to $45 but even more pissed when 6 months later the 2 gb was $30.. Yes $30, damn prices have changed. My brother used to say you can never have too much memory and I see what he's saying now. Because in the past 2 years I have bought almost a Terabyte of memory,,,seperately.. I knew prices would continue to drop when I bought a 1 gb SD card for $6 w/ free shipping. Then 1 month later I bought a 4 gb for $9 w/ free shipping. Damn where were these prices 10 years ago. So last month I bought a 16 gb micro sd card for a whopping.....$51... Of course 10 years ago I don't think I even had that much shit to back up. And now that I have 16 gb I think it might be too much room. Oh well.
